Vauxhall Nova Saloon Price

Would anyone have a rough idea how much a Vauxhall Nova saloon would have been new in the mid 80s?

Difficult one that, Darcey. Plenty of info on Nova's but can't find any new prices from that era. Could be that different Vauxhall main dealerships offered different discounts, although I can't even find the factory list prices.

Mid 80s would be a Mk1 and would have engine/trim levels for petrol engines from 1.0L base to the 1.6L GTEi or GSi.

The only Nova pricing I have found is for a Mk2 (89-93) 1.4 SR (top end of 1.4 trim) at £7,985.

I suppose an earlier, lesser engine/trim could be somewhere around £5,500-£6,000

I have overestimated somewhat.

From this Vauxhall-Opel price guide dated 19th Aug 1985, the 'On The Road' cost for Nova saloons are in the range:
1.0 2-door ... £3,859.10
1.2 GL 2-door ... £5,117.88
