Need to tax a car, the renewal is 1/6/19 Don’t have reminder or V5 for reference. 0300 number on gov site asks for these. So can’t renew over phone. New V5 can take minimum of 7 days to be returned.
Anyone know of any direct phone numbers other than that above or any tips.

Yes seen those steps FF. The V62 option is the one that can take weeks.

you can tax it at a post office (one that does car tax) with the V62.

Or wait for the V5 to arrive and tax it then.

It's not the crime of the century to be a couple of days late renewing.
