New Car.

I'm thinking of getting another car. It has to be higher off the ground to make it easier to get in and out of.
I'm looking at either a Skoda yeti or a Peugeot 5008.
Has anyone on here had any experience of the above cars?

The Yeti had a very good review on Top Gear when it was released. Impressed Clarkson very much.
My mechanic told me that if I ever bought a French car I could find another mechanic...
Have you considered Honda CRV?

I have no experience of those cars but have recently bought a Renault Captur which I would highly recommend.

I know two people who each have a Yeti...and both are delighted with them. Over time, it's also going to prove more reliable than the Peugeot.

Thanks for the replies. Now, do I get a diesel or petrol? Regulations are changing regarding diesel powered cars in city centres.

Diesel/petrol is defined by how you use the car and whether you are buying new or used.

I do loads of short journeys, so petrol would be the obvious answer.

I am on the same quest as you, for same reason, and have done some research and had several test drives. This is my experience, hope it helps. Firstly, as I don't do long distances and only occasionally use the motorway, was advised to stay with a petrol engine,(my mechanic also threatened to disown me if I went with a french car!!).
I have considered Seat Arona, Dacia Stepway, Hyundai Kona and Honda HRV. All do automatics, but some only in diesel. These are my opinions on what I found:
Price wise the Dacia is value for money,(but no automatic or parking camera)
Honda HRV manual very good, but auto sluggish.
Hyundai good but higher spec costs. You get a good deal with follow up services.
Seat, at present this is my choice and won What Car small suv of the year 2019. Only the top of the range has a camera.
All have in built sat nav system and parking sensors,(even if no camera, Dacia said you can install a parking camera - I suppose like a dash camera.

Skoda by a mile. We have a Superb 4x4 Estate Petrol and a Flavia Greenline Estate Diesel. My biggest regret is opting for Petrol for my Superb over Diesel but the EZ is too close to my front door to bother with Diesel. Thanks Khan.
