I bought a second hand 2014 Hyundai i10. When i took it for a test drive the dash illumination was overpowering and the owner leaned over and pressed the "dim" button.
A year down the line I now want to increase the dashboard brightness and according to the manual I should turn on the lights and press the plus illumination button....nothing happens. Anyone had this problem?
i phoned the dealership and they want £99 just to diagnose the fault..money I can't afford.
Any feed back welcome

Try a local garage ?
If it was me I would buy a new switch and fit it myself.
...it's quite likely to be nothing to do with the "switch"....
Possibly not, but I expect that's where a garage would start.
...I think a decent garage would use diagnostics to see where the fault lies....then progress accordingly.
faulty rheostat seems likely.
I still suspect the switch
Is it possible there's a button for dimming and one for brightness?
I know the dashboard I'm looking at right now has that. (Mercedes)
