daihatsu hi jet thermostat

Could anybody tell me how to locate the thermostat on a daihatsu hi jet van M reg. Simple instructions please

it should be should be on the top coolant hose line, probably on side of cylinder head

Basically on all water cooled vehicles there is usually at least one large pipe from the top of the radiator to the top of the engine and one from the bottom of the radiator to the bottom of the engine (there may be other small hoses but it the big ones you want). The thermostat should be inside the housing where the top hose is connected to the engine, this housing will often have two or three bolts holding it to the engine. Drain the water, remove the top hose, unbolt the housing.
