I bought this van last week and the radio was working fine and came on when I turned on the engine as it was left on. Now when I turn it on the radio does not work - I can't get any of the stations and am not able to change anything - all I get is the word SILENCE across the top. I assume I must have done something to immobilise it? Any ideas?

sounds like you've muted it somehow. Is there a mute button?

Stupid question but have you tried volume control!?
Yes, turn it left, turn it right, press it in, pull it out, shake it all about. You never know it might help.

Intrigued to know how bad an answer was to warrant removal!
If it has one (?) there was an issue with the mute button on the steering wheel but I don't think that would explain why you can't see/change channels.
Take a look at the text immediately below 'First Steps' here:
https://www.manualslib.com/manual/778841/Citroen-Berlingo.html?page=174

It shows that radio's the power button has different functions, depending upon whether the engine is running or not and whether a short or long press is used.

With the engine not running, a long press toggles the Mute mode on and off. With the engine running, a short press is used to the same effect, while a long press reinitialises the system.

So, if I was you, I'd be trying different types of pressing on that button.
