Help needed urgently for the name of a book. Guy packs in job, buys BMW, learns to ride it, travels around Africa. Book is all about his adventure. He was talking on the radio recently and I can't remember name of book. Thought it was Out of Africa but can't find anything. Need it for Christmas prezzie so please help

Not the same one, but The Long Way Round features Euan McGregor and Charlie Boorman riding around the world (on BMWs) and shows all the problems and people that they meet finishing with the orange county choppers, it's a brilliant film, I haven't got round to the book yet.

If you don't find the one you mean, perhaps that's an option

Yes that is an option but I really would like the one I'm after. This guy was talking on the Johhnie Walker show on BBC Radio 2 a few weeks back. I didn't have a pen to write his name down but I'm sure the book was called something like 'out of Africa' 'cos I remember thinking it sounded like a film

I had a quick look on the Radio 2 website at Johnie's area, but couldn't find anything. Have you tried emailing the show?

I did that on Saturday so hopefully I'll get a reply today. I know Johhnie is a bit of a biker himself so he will probably remember it - thanks
