My daughter rang to say she accidenly bumped front of car into bollard. Quite hard...
She's panicking and upset as they've just paid for new year box. She said water dripping out from under front part of car.
Any one have an idea where it's coming from?

Radiator?
Probably damaged the radiator- don't drive the car till you get it looked at and fixed- it would overheat and damage the engine. If she is a member of one of the motoring organisations, call them out to tow her to a repair garage. Good luck
Most likely the radiator. Check the water level in the header tank. Don't drive it with insufficient water!

Thank you both..
I'll pass on information..
Given that the front-most part of a car (excluding its bodywork and bumper) is its radiator, it would seem likely that the accident has either cracked the radiator or dislodged a hose fitting to it.

Fortunately radiators are among the cheapest car components there are and, in most cases, they're very easy to replace. So a new radiator isn't going to cost the earth. (If it's just a hose clip that's been dislodged, it can probably be put back in place in just a minute or two. It's the sort of job that my friendly local mechanic might well do for free).
Most modern cars have electric fans that go into the rad like they used to. It could be the rad or it may well be just the air con.

Best to check though.
* that DONT go into the rad
Is there any chance that it is water dripping off the air-conditioning unit? It's fairly common in hot weather that, when you stop and turn off the engine, water in the atmosphere condenses on the air-con unit and drips onto the floor creating a stream or a puddle. It could be that your daughter hasn't noticed it before but has been scrutinising the car because of the bump.
if she's been driving it since the bump and the car is not over heating then it's probably the air con dryer dumping it's water.

Thank you all. I've tried to ring her but not answering. She's meeting friends and the and one knows a lot about cars so hopefully he can tell her what the problem is. She's about 35 miles from me, unfortunately.
Hope it's nothing too bad. As I said, they've just had new gear box put in. We are all supposed to go on holiday Saturday morning, and she will need car. :-(

Let's hope it's something simple..and not radiator. She did say it took quite a hard knock.

Thank you PP, they are in Evesham. My daughter's partner knows a lot about cars and he is with her now, hopefully.

Friend said it was air con dripping and damage is cosmetic. Thank goodness!
Ah, good. It's the cheap option then.
