Insurance renewal.

I need to renew my insurance. The company I am with have quoted 26pounds more than last year, which was quite good compared to others. Do I stick with this one or still shop around. I have always been on my husbands insurance so this is only the 2nd time I have insured my car.

It only takes a few minutes to get multiple quotes from sites such as http://www.confused.com/ which may provide a better deal.

Shop around as most insurance companies treat existing customers with contempt and offer better deals to new customers. If you want to stay with your existing insurer find a better deal on the web and ask them if they want to match it. If you are a profitable customer they will be happy to oblige.

Thanks for replies. I tried several yesterday but forgot about Confused.com. Have managed to find a few insurers cheaper than the one I have now. Many Thanks.

Most people do not shop around every year, but stay with the same company whether or not it is still a good deal. This is why the companies will give you a good quote the first time, then sneak the prices up while you are not looking.

Try Adrian Flux insurance for a really low quote, they knocked �200 off what I was paying last year.
