Mp3 player thru car stereo

My car has a cd player/ radio in it. Is there any way I can play my mp3 player thru it ?

You can buy devices (on ebay) that plug into the headphone socket of an mp3 player that convert it into a FM signal. You then tune your car radio into the station and hey presto.

If your CD/radio has a casette deck as well, you can get an adapter that plugs into the earpiece socket on the MP3 player, and the other end is pushed into the casette slot.

The FM signal generator that vic mentions is great, except if your car radio is a good one, BBC radio2 signals tend to mask the FM transmitter, as majority of them use the same 88 to 81 wavelength.

Can you get to the back of the radio in your car? connects2 adaptors work with a lot of factory fit radios and ipods/sony mp3 players. These allow you to work the mp3 player from the radio controls - downside is a cost of about �100, but they work really well.
