Peugeot 2008 car 2021
Car been taken to the garage to because it has a fuel leak when filling .
After they inspected the car they said the feeder pipe was perished and looked like it may have bitten through by a rodent.
The car is a lease car which my wife uses for her job in the NHS but because there trying to say a animal has done it that there not responsible and the cost of repair is on my wife .
Firstly how can they be sure it’s a rodent and is not just a fault pipe from manufacturing.
If any one else has had this issue would be good to hear from you .

What are the terms & conditions on your wife having the lease car?

If my employer requested that I have a lease vehicle at their expense (because of the amount of business mileage I did) and they expected me to be responsible for any repairs – I’d tell them to sling their hook.

Perhaps your wife should do the same, and ask her employer to make other arrangements for her business transport.
