Bmw Police Cars
A few weeks ago the police announced that they would no longer be buying BMW cars and had stopped using certain BMW vehicles that had a known fault. Apparently one police officer had died as a result of a faulty BMW.
I don’t recall any information being given in the media as to what the fault was – but this youtube video explains that it is because they catch fire. Quite why the British press/media was unwilling to call out the poor quality of BWM vehicles is a bit strange to me.
The guy in the video also asks a pertinent question as to why our police forces are not buying British cars (or at least ones made in the UK); I doubt very much that the German police were ever driving around in Rovers.

Its the way the Police use the car that is the problem anyway if you bother to read the full story.
As for using a XE, ours is a bit short of legroom in the back and getting in and out isnt great. Not much use for putting villains in.
