car radio decoded
Question Author
It needs recoded 'cos I don't have the code to unlock it. A new code must be set ergo 'recode'
As far as I know ford radios have the same code for life - maybe the radio has been exchanged for another one and that is why the code is different. The radio will lock out for a while if a wrong code has been attempted too many times. Then it is a question of waiting - After a few more wrong attempts the radio will lock out completely and you will have to take it to a ford dealers for exchange.
There are lots of auto electricians around that offer a re-coding service . The guy that i use ( i work in a vauxhall main dealer ) charges 25 per unit. You should be able to find what you want by googling "Ford radio recode".
