Cost Of Replacing Honda Jazz Window?

It's the driver's side window which needs replacing on a 63 reg EXL model.  I'd like to know how much roughly for the actual window and how much for someone to come out and install it.  I'm in an expensive area so I know it won't be cheap.  The garage I like to use is closed on Saturdays unfortunately.

The quote was £260 for my car's driver side window.

Barrie my quote from UK Car Glass is £284.14.  Is that the same as yours?

Replaced my rear offside Jazz window a few years ago.  Went to breakers yard took one off a wrecked Jazz, which was hardly difficult.  Did the same to my Jazz with the cracked one and reversed the procedure to put the'new' one in.  Well within the diy person's ability. Time taken cumalatively was about two hours. Cost £35.00p.

I haven't got a Honda Jazz, I just did it to see how useful the site is.  

There are probably more websites that will do an online quote, for comparison.

I would try a breakers yard and do it myself but not everyone wants to do that

Oh how I wish I could do that Paul and Barry.  I'm too old and also disabled so no chance.  

Just thought my model (the EXL) has tinted glass.  No idea if all models have it.  Must remember that for Monday.

Be thankful it's not the windscreen. I had to replace mine, which is of course quite large, but even so, it costed about 900 euros fitted.

many (most) UK insurers cover windscreen replacement cost subject to a small excess (circa £60)

If it does, check how much your excess is

Yes it's one of the first things I did.  It's £95.  However, I'm being advised to not compromise my insurance as it wasn't my fault, I didn't do it, I wasn't even there.

It's your call of course. Personally I think I would claim.

I wouldn't claim for such a relatively minor amount, it can affect your insurance premium even with protected no claims bonus
