about parking tickets
where can I find a list of my rights.
am writing because today I received a ticket when I was completely unaware of the violation I was abusing.
It was not in your district, but in North End Road, Fulham. I arrived for a dental appt. in the Market area. I was pleased to find a space which looked normal and had a parking meter right next to it. I put in the 1.60 for one hour and went away, when I returned 3mins early on parking ticket. I had been issued a code - ( parked in a traders bay without displaying a valid permit.) 100 pounds, 50 if paid in 14 days.
This looked like a normal parking space with white painted on broken lines. in front of me was a lorry, and it must have been hiding the sign which must have said something about trading space. I did not realise I had a ticket until I was driving along and I saw something under the wiper, it was rolled up small and right under. I thought It was some advertising or something. I want to protest about this ticket, do I have a case. thanks, if you have time would be obliged.
Parking is being treated like a criminal act it seems.
