vw car radio recoding

Please help me recode my car radio - it's volkswagen's own make, I have the code but the lcd just says SAFE and I don't know how to enter the code.

Go to a VW main dealer and let them do it for you (ask them to show you the steps involved) if you try it yourself and punch in the wrong code or use the wrong sequence the radio will lock up. It means that it will not allow any more attempts to input the code (it's a security measure to deter theives from taking it) it requires main dealer input to sort it.

Try leaving your radio on for a few hours (3+) and then enter the code again!
