I googled how to do this, and it came up about changing my address on my log book.  Are these two separate things?  I already know I have to change the address in my log book but is there another link on how to change it in my car tax please?   Thanks all getting confused.

Are you sure you're on the DVLA website? That would surely say how to inform them of COA. You should only need to report it once I would have thought.

This gives a step by step guide of what you must do when you change address in respect of your car.

For your car tax, you only need to update direct debit details

GOV.UK https://www.gov.uk/change-address-v5c

You just need to change the V5 address (as in Barry's link)...your road tax 'address' is linked to the V5.
