best advice I can give you is trial and error if you can find that you can do it you've saved a fiver and you know how to do it next time
Simple things like changing a bulb are normally covered in the hand book. Have a look there first. You should only have to take a dust cover off, undo a clip, change the bulb, then put it all back together.

no problem you've saved a fiver and learned something today
Be thankful you didn't buy a Mercedes Smart Car. The last I heard, the Mercedes people charged about 85 to supply and fit a replacement headlamp bulb - a job which I was told was not do-able by the owner.

Not a smart buy, obviously.
if your good at small fidlely things you cant see... do it.

I think ford must have some small trained chimpanzee's to do this somewhere.

I have just done one on my mums 06 KA, there really was no room to get in.
The wires were in the way of the clip holding the bulb in. which was very fiddley and hard to secure.
The outer waterproof cover - I had to remove because of the size of my hands (to do this pull the lever arm up). It is not easy to put back on, note the wide guide peg on the bottom needs to be insrted in it slot.
I also found it easier to remove after disconnecting the ground from the battery moving all those cables out the way.
Tip: the _n_ shaped bit on the bulb's base goes at the top.
Tip: the wires from this clip point towards the outside of the car.
Note: pulling the bulb connector will result in the sidelight coming out, this is easy to put back in afterwards. (before you close the awkward waterproof cap)
It can be done youreslf without taking anything apart though is quite tricky.
I did it this weekend to my girlfriends KA. I have done a full write up with photos here:
