cutting out

sorry i missed make of car out on last question its a mondeo 2lt TD it keeps cutting out when slowing down but starts up againand runs fine untill slowing down to about 5mph any ideas what the cause could be

o.k. it sounds like it's not getting enough fuel. this may mean the fuel filter is blocked all the way through to a whole load of complex and expensive things. try having the filter changed first and then carry on from there. this site may be of help, www.fordmondeo.org hope that helps...

Something similar was happening in my car and the problem was the connection to the battery! Have your battery and its connections tested to see if this is the problem with yours too
