renault scenic alize 2000

i have just bought 2 radios for a renault scenic alize but they both have different fittings at the rear. i have a 2000 scenic, the radios are for a scenic 1998 @ 2004 but they both wont fit, do i have to have the exact year of manufacture, info would be very helpfull, thank ray young.

One thing you could try is to take a visit to Halfords, they stock lots of wiring adapters and could allow one of the units you have to work.

They could be different fittings because Car makers are always changing Specs on their cars, perhaps they found a cheaper radio supplier.

hi ray snap to your question i have a 99 scenic i biught a jvc stereo got it to work but with no dash activation halfords sold me a lead for �40 still no good. What connections are on the back of the 98 stereo is it just plugs straight into the back or are they lying down flat, also is it curved front if it fits mine we could do a deal im sure...cheers mate ian

ianthe plumb, answer on radio, it says it will fit scenic upto 1999, it is curved front and has a two horizontal plug in back, it also has a thin upright plug and a seperate earth connection, 1 plug has6 pins 2 has 4 pins the upright one has5 pins. hope this is of some use. all the best Ray
