i am going to buy a new ford fusion does anybody have one and how good are they?

Look at www.honestjohn.co.uk and select Road Tests. Personally, I'd put my money elsewhere unless the dealers were offering a healthy discount.

We're assuming you mean a UK car. The USA version is a large saloon, like a Mondeo. If UK the Fusion is basically a Fiesta with a more upright body, small people carrier. As fiestas generally are good and generally trouble free, and you require the extra headroom - go for it! Get a good discount as I'm told its not Fords best seller!.

basically it's a Fiesta and I think it was once voted most pointless car of the year, followed closely by the "City Rover"....

personally mate i have a rather large hate for the fusion, i work for carland ans hav driven pretty much every car the is to be driven. fords generally are good enough cars but the fusion was a large downfall in my opinion and would put my money into something german eg golf or if u need a large car the sharron. sorry to disharten

I have a fusion, it's a brill car, 1.6i engine,plenty power economical, loads of room, excellent roadholding, cheap insurance, cheap tax, reliable, very good safety test results, secure, high driving position, heated front screen, abs, elec windows, air con, power steering, etc etc, I pondered over this car after reading reviews that slated it but found people followed each other like sheep with their opinions, the reviews are unfounded and you'll find car test mags etc only checked out a very basic model at the Fusion's launch so a very unfair outcome. Go drive one and ignore what others think, they probably haven't even sat in one so who are they to talk!
