I think you mean an anti-roll bar, they do not normally fail, it's more likely to be either the bushes worn or the drop links that have excess movement, as to price it depends on make/model of car .

I thought when I first read your post that you were talking about a roo bar, that is what the Australians call Bull bars.

At least the Australians need Roo bars (Kangaroo) bars if they are driving in the outback but there is not much need for Bull bars in the UK, I've not seen many Bulls in Chelsea!

I've got bars on my Landrover but I call them cowbars... and yes we do!
Hi stanleyman, you would not be able to do the bars thing where I am, a couple of years ago the govt here banned all bars except the original bumpers after a few bad accidents where double cab pickups (we have got loads of these) with bull bars had hit the side of normal cars at high speed and basically demolished them (and the occupants) completely.
Hi qapmoc you live in Croydon don't you? Mine came with the car and I can't see how they would increase damage to a car that got in my way, with a chassis there is little in the way of a crumple zone anyway.

its a new vauxhall corsa 3 years old 17,0000 thanks for replys
Yeah stanleyman, but politics is not about reality only the concept of it as seen by the most important citizens (voters).

Hi veritymoon, sorry that I sidetracked your question, I have never heard of a newish car having a broken antiroll bar, unless the vehicle has been damaged or run over bad ground at high speed I don't see why it should break except for a manufacturing defect, unless you have modified the suspension in some way? I would suggest that you contact a independent vehicle examiner and then forward the report to Vauxhall directly.
For your info on most cars (but I am not sure about the corsa) the antiroll bar is not a structural part of the front suspension and can be removed and the car driven without it, you just have to go around corners a bit slower as the car will ''lean'' over more.
