Engine trouble

My 1 litre vauxhall corsa (04 reg) has started to make a rattling noise under the bonet when i have been stuck in traffic. it sounds like it is about to stall when turning over, and is about 5 times louder than the normal engine noise. does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem may be??

Obviously something has worked loose, maybe the exhaust.

As Stanley says it has got to be your exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe on it's way out.

take it bk to vauxhall under warranty still

thanks guys, i took it to vauxhall this morning after a repeat of the noise over the weekend, turns out i needed a new timing chain and inset manifold. thanks for your help.
