Get a "Superscooter" like the Suzuki Burgman or the Honda Silverwing. Marvellous for long-distance high-speed cruising/touring and definitely not for geeks!
Or a 4-wheel fully enclosed quad like the Microcar Virgo, driveable on a bike license and about half the weight of a "Smart" of equivalent size.

I hate them, but have you thought about a Smart Car, they are tiny and extremely manoevrable. Or if you want to be really different, how about a mint 1950's bubble car like an Isetta or a Messerschmitt, or even a 1970's Bond Bug?

Just tell that to my mate who's been off work for the last year. Standard bike crash, ie not the bikers fault, but simple phsyics prove that a 1.5KG large metal box will always win against 100KG flesh wrapped in leather.
