brake traction control system & A B S warning lights are on. brakes ok. any ideas.

The brakes will be OK if the ABS is not working, only the antilock function will be none operational. This is usually a faulty wheel sensor but first check out the cables connecting to the sensors as they can sometimes come loose or get corroded, If they are OK then remove the wheel sensors and make sure that they don't have particles of metal etc.. stuck on them on the front surface (they are magnetic).

thanks for help lads. reason for delay. lights went out after checking connections ect. only to reappear later. car put on scanner at local m.o.t. station which diagnosed n/s front sensor. changed & system reset itself after 100 yard run and been ok for over a week.
