I am getting a squeaking noise from my front wheel. When i jacked the car up and looked and listened where the rubber gaiter was while turning the wheel it seemed as if the noise was coming from the gaiter when it rubbed against itself during my turning. The noise doesnt seem any worse when driving but is more noticeable when turning .Is this just a sqeaky gaiter or sshould i be looking for something more sinister.Bye the way there is no movement in the wheel when i rock it from sid to side when car is jacked up.Cheers for any help.

Spray some WD40 on the gaiter to see if the noise stops. If it does stop there is probably nothing to worry about but it could be the CV joint if it continues.

There is nothing metallic or mechanical sounding about the noise.

i'd check the gaitor for splits the thing that could squeak in that area is the c.v joint which to me would suggest there was no grease in the joint itself and with you saying its worse round corners backs up this suggestion
