please can anyone help?can the handbrake on a rover 25 (2000) be adjusted from inside the car? or is it only from underneath?

Can't remember to be precise but it's either beneath the rear ash tray (or blanking plastic if no ash tray) or lift the rubber suround to the actual physical handbrake and there's an adjuster under there.
i was going to say " pull it up, handbrake on. let it down, handbrake off " but then thought i would be deemed a prat by one and all. so i won't.
If you remove the rear ashtray you will find a nut using a 12mm spanner you can tighten the handbrake ideally the rear wheels and drums should be removed and the shoes adjusted
