I was wondering if anyone knew what the engine light on the bottom right hand corner of the dash meant? I was on the motorway and the car started juddering and that light came on. I made it home and it hasnt cut out at all.

i dont know if its the same as my wifes renault magane scenic.


that did the same as your saying, it was one of the couls on the spark plugs.


renault will only replace them one at a time when they go, as soon as our warrenty was out ,the last one went!!

toureman, i can hold my hand up and say without doubt,you have some of the best advice on the motoring side.


however, i feel as though you disagree with my posting, to the point of my advice being renderred useless?


we have a renault on a Y plate, and through reading celle1977's post,i feel as i have given the correct answer?

What I'll do is let you know when I get it sorted. The spark plug thing does ring true so will try that first - It also judders more when its been raining (the damp would affect them). Thank you for your help x

it may be the coil pack that has gone the clio have one pack that feeds the four plugs unlike the megane but still the same faults,it could be manifold pressure sensor too my honest advice is to book it into a garage which can do diagnostic doesnt need to be renault if u not want to pay silly amounts,get them to see the fault code and tell u wat the fault is it could b a silly fault such as the plugs have they been changed at the appropiate service interval? good luck
