I am replacing the rear axle on my 306 with one from a 1998 SXI. The original axle had drum brakes, the new one has disks which has a brake regulator valve which is not fitted on models with drums. The valve is a single unit which has 4 pipes connected, 2 with small fitting & 2 with larger fittings. If you looked at the valve from the top the 2 large ones are on the left and the small ones are on the right My question is which connections are the input from the master cylinder and which are the outputs to the disk calipers ?

not too sure about the valve, but you might find you need to change the master cylinder as well. the pistons in the rear calipers are much bigger than than the original cylinders were so the displacement will be different, resulting in excessive pedal travel, which would be an mot failure. i had this problem on a 405.
