I have a P reg Rover 100 which has recently been into the garage because when the car was sitting the revs were way too high and again when you changed gear the revs would shoot up. I got the car back and although its alright whilst driving I feel it's still reving to high when sitting. Any ideas?

Hiya! Funny. My P reg Rover Mini was doing the same thing. The accelarator arm under the bonnet needed some WD40 and a smack to loosen it up and it was just fine. The car runs okay in traffic cuz you're using the gas and pressing the pedal further than the point at which it is sticking, but while sitting at lights in neutral, your car is embarrasingly loud and racing away! Hope yours is the same problem as mine was - cheap and simple to remedy! Vix
Take it back to the garage that charged you for repairing it but did'nt, tell them to repair it properly.
