Why? You can get a newer Ford (or similar) with more gadgets for the same price. When you buy a BMW Compact, you're paying for the privalege to drive a poor man's BMW. And the 4 cylinder engine in them is on the not-very-good side of things (especially the 1.6). But, if you have to have a Compact it should be the 318ti at the very least.

agree with skids a 316 compact is shouting to people that you cant afford a proper bmw, its not a bad car but you can do so much better for less , get a older 3 /5series bmw
