We have a 2004 Saab 9-5 that I rarely drive (the dog and I are happy in my Micra!), but when I do I often need to pop into the newsagent etc, leaving the dog in the car with the windows partly open, but wish to lock the car. Please be assurred the dog is left for a couple of minutes, and I am well aware of the dangers for a dog of a hot car. It is literally so I can pop in somewhere.

I cannot work out how to lock the car without setting the alarm - I have read the handbook, but am none the wiser.

Can anybody help please - our local Saab Dealer has closed, and when I telephoned another one they were not sure either!

Many thanks.

Lock the drivers door with the key? Normally this will set the demobiliser but not the alarm?

Works on Rovers!!!
