passenger door wont unlock with key

I have recently bought a scond hand ford fiesta encore 1998 and when i try to open the passenger door with key it will not open I can lock it with key is this quite difficult to fix or expensive i have the master key and 2 spares

you can lock a ford with any other ford key, wheather its the right one or not, so i'm guessing that its not the right key, get someone to build up the lock to match your key not too hard

Have you tried the master key and both the spares on the lock? Because normally you would only get 1 set of spare keys but you could have another key for the passenger side lock only.

Alternatively you should be able to find a set of locks for your car on eBay or something.

I had a Peugeot 106 1996 and the passenger side lock wouldn't open because it was a completely different lock to the rest of the car.

I bought a set off eBay and just replaced all the locks with the new ones and then sold the old set on eBay so it didn't really cost much to replace.

if the key works in all the locks refering to wat wduk suggested- ford locks are prone to seizing up inside have u tried wd40 in the lock or even better spray grease?? i suspect the lock req changed they garage will also build it to suit the keys if they are all the same.
