Code problem for radio/cd player Renault Megane hatchback

Hi,

I have recently bought a Renault Megane RXE 5 door and the radio etc was all working fine but yesterday it stopped and asked me for the code with a four flashing zeros - as I have no book I pressed lots of wrong buttons and now it is just coming up with the word CODE - any ideas how I 'unlock' it? I do have my radio code and am now aware how to put it in but need the four zeros again. Help?? :-)
