Vauxhall Corsa temperatures

I have a '93 Vauxhall Corsa Trip and unfortuanately the timing belt snapped the other week. I have since had this repaired along with the inlet / exhause valves etc which were damaged at the time.
Since getting the car back I'm convinced that it appears to be running hotter than normal. The temperature guage is sitting just below the 100 so does not cause the fan to come on but, from memory, I'm sure it used to sit more like half way.
Can anyone confirm if this is normal or if there is a problem somewhere ?

If the gauge is being sent the correct temperature reading then from past experience with 4 corsa's the answer is yes it does seem to be running a bit hot.
As I said i've had 4 and they varied from 88-94 degrees witht the cooling fan kicking in about 98. If yours is running hotter I would suggest replacing the thermostat which sits behind the timing belt if memory serves correct. 2 out of the 4 I've had needed a thermostat.
