Car Insurance
I have recently had to make a claim on my car insurance. A long time ago, over 10 years, my partner had a checkered driving history to say the least and received bans before he even got a licence for driving with no insurance. I did not declare this when we got car insurance after he finally got a licence. Could they find out about these old driving bans and if so will it invalidate my insurance?

Insurers usually request details of any motoring convictions in the past 5 years. If the convictions are after this period they do not need to be declared.
If they are within the 5 year timescale, they can take action. To void the policy ab initio would only be in exceptional circumst ances such as an accumulation of serious convictions. Unless you have a tough underwriter, then they might take action!
