taxing my car....

bought my car a few months ago saab 900 and the bloke didnt have the log book but gave me the form to send off.....needles to say i didnt. is it possible to tax the car with just my insurance and m.o.t?

no, the least you need is the green slip from registration document to tax car. you can apply for new document which costs 19 pounds but be prepared for two week wait.
Yes it is possible, Take your docs and log book form to the post office, you will need to fill out a form(V60 I think) they will give you a tax disc and take the the log book form and V60 and send them away for you, hey presto you will receive a new log book in a few weeks. easy peasy.

This is a very common procedure when people buy a car with no tax on it.
oops sorry but if you do not even have the tear off part of the log book then tomtech is right.

Personally I would never buy a car without a log book anyway.
