Who is liable for this bump?
6 Answers
Hi
A woman who is next door's cleaner parked slightly on my side of the shared drive towards the back of my car. As I reversed out keeping my steering wheel the same as when I drove in, I scraped her car. Whose insurance will have to pay out? Ok I should have looked but it would have been hard to spot as she was on my blind side but she hadn't bothered to park on the clearly marked run for cars and was over on my property. Would I have a hope of arguing this?
Cheers.

there is no real defence for hitting a parked car unless that vehicle is parked illegally or dangerously. Having said that
I suppose it could be worth getting the opinion of your insurance company on the grounds that the othe car was 'trespassing' by being partly on your property without permission, You could argue that you did not bother to look in your wing mirror on that side as there should not be anything there.
Worth a try?
