Why would the battery warning light on my vauxhall cavalier not come on when i turn the ignition on?

Alternator appears to be working and is still charging the battery but no light is working

Bulb blown ?
Bulb blown, wiring fault or alternator faulty. But if you are definitely getting your battery charged, then most likely blown bulb. In which case, you are lucky you are getting it charged as this should stop the alternator working!
