what oil do i use for an M corsa. The last oil i put in smelled and burned

Assuming you mean M reg., just standard Duckhams, Castrol GTX or anything like that should be ok. If it's a diesel then best use diesel oils although avoid the fancy expensive stuff for high performance engines - Corsa's don't quite come into that category.

Can't imagine why it would smell, well except if as Engineer1973 mentioned you're not using proper engine oil?

The Manual says use any good quality semi-synthetic oil doesn't it ?

hi you put 10/40 semi-synthetic oil in engine even if its a diesel engine the smell of burning oil is possible cam cover gasket leaking and oil running down onto exhaust manifold
