How do I change the distributer cap on my renault clio alize?

PS And where on earth is it under the bonnet???? They Haynes manual I have is no help at all.

i dont think they have a dizzy?!!! arent they got coils/coil pack have u got the correct book for your year of car??

The book is Renault Clio May 1998 to May 2001 (R to Y reg)
not sure about the coils bit!!

folow the ht leads/ spark plug leads and tell me wat they go to from the spark plug it should be a black square or rectangle shape??

Its a black rectangle box, with the 4 spark plug leads on it and a say, one inch electrical? push in plug on the left

Each time I turn the key in the ignition, it turns over but will not catch to actually start the car. I do not smell fuel so guess I am not flooding it. If I wait for a while and try it a couple more times, it eventually starts.

have u had the spark plugs checked? if theyre ok check the leads and if still no joy then change the coil pack

It is quite a hard job to do as your Clio does not have one!
