Ford Fiesta 98 - wiper problem

Hi,
Th wipers on my fiesta have stopped working completely - the wiper fuse just blows as soon as I turn on the ignition. Even with the wiper motor disconnected and the wiper controls disconnected, the fuse still blows as soon as I turn on the ignition... Any help?

Thanks for the response Lee! It turned out to be the washer motor which was gone, it was on the same fuse as the wipers and it was causing the fuse to blow everytime...
