Sony CDX MP70 Headunit. MP3 Question

I have just purchased at a car boot sale a Sony CDX MP70 radio/cd but its handbook has been waterlogged and all the pages are stuck together.
Its designed to play mp3s and indeed when I filled a CDR with mp3s it played them fine like a CD.
Is it possible to put MP3s in drawers on the disc (to separate albums) and still have the unit understand? Or can the unit undestand a playlist file so i can have the unit play albums and have all the tracks in 1 place to play randomly?
any help appreciated.

It'll recognise separate folders ... they don't recommend more than 8, but I've had 10 folders each with a separate album of mp3s inside ... it worked fine.
