An Induction kit is purely an air filter with higher air flow than standard and perhaps a straighter inlet pipe.
If you want to go faster then improve your brake pads first, this will give you more confidence and allow you to brake later and harder.

Not really worth it though.

You would get just as much improvement by removing your standard airfilter and running without one at all. Ducting cold air to the carburettor would also help as cold air is more dense, however, as your standard carb supplies a fixed amount of fuel it wont make any real difference.
Electronic injection systems can measure the amount of air/air temperature and supply an appropriate squirt of fuel to match, Carburettors dont have this capability.
