BMW Mini - 27,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On my cycle to work I pass a BMW dealership, and out of the corner of my eye I thought I saw a Mini on the forecourt for 26,995. So, sad that I am, I did a u-turn to have a closer look, and sure enough it was up for the best part of 27k on a 55 plate.
Now, there's no denying it did look the business (for a girls car) - it had full leather trim and lovely black alloys, but my question is - 27,000 for a second hand mini? How?

Everything else has high-end BMW specs., and that is reflected in the price. They are very popular, so their s/h value is high, hence the price tag.
Personally, I wouls pend that sort of money on a larger less-high-profile and therefore newer car, but as I said, they are very popular, and desireable, and so sell very well.

Yeh that is a hell of a wedge of cash for a Mini. I have just done a search on the internet, and found two cars above 25,000. They were both convertibles, in Kent and Surrey.
I had thought perhaps the one you saw was one of the new Mini GPs that they are making as a goodbye to this current shape mini. However, it couldn't have been one of those if it had a 55 plate.
I am very much an Audi fan, so consider the Mini just to be a very small BMW, and would definately not own one of those! heh heh.
A couple of years ago I saw a nearly new Audi S3 up at 30,995 at a dealer. Crazy money, given the basic price would have been about 23,000. You could have got a 3.0 A6 for that money!
