Coming back from Cornwall, I drove though this yesterday rush hour. The wife wasn't impressed - thought it was a waste of money. I thought it might have improved things. So I thought I'd ask some experts...

So, if you regularly drive through the ATM bit and used the M42 before it was there, has it improved traffic flow or is it just a waste of a lot of money?

I use it fairly regularly and i cannot tell any difference at all. Some people have thought their journeys are quicker but they were comparing them to journeys taken while all the work was going on so will be quicker anyway. The 4th lane has never been open while ive been on the road even when there are bigf tailbacks. I cant see the point of all the work.
