Yes, it would be great if the DeLorean was revived but it will probably never happen. Cars with large American V8 motors in them are not exactly 'trendy' these days - hence the demise of Jensen - most people seem to be obseesed with fuel economy at the expense of everything else ! The DeLorean design was basically sound - a combination of a big, powerfull engine in a sleek low body is obviously a good start towards a car which handles and performs well - but it needed more testing and development before it hit the market. Thebody design was very intelligent: brushed stainless steel panels, bolted on, so minor damage was just a spanner-job. The gull-wing doors were excellent too and not just a faddy, 'look-at-me' feature. You won't find many on the road in Britain as they didn't get type-approval over here, but there are a couple around. They do need frequent maintenance, thanks to the weak spots left by their lack of development, but are well worth the driving experience. If I could find one at a reasonable price and road-legal I'd buy it.
