A 600cc Sports Car...?!

Just found the most gorgeous-looking little car - a Suzuki Cappucino - from around 1995 onwards. Other than the potential to be pinched or scratched, it looked perfect - but apparently it's engine size is 600cc turbo?!

Does anyone know ust how fast that is, and what it would be capable of? My currently Chinquecento winds me up with it's 899cc and slow pulling off and steady 60mph only maximum, so would 600cc be virtually impossible to drive anywhere for being just too slow and powerless, or am I missing something?

If you can find another then you would at least have a pair of slippers!

Look how I've not risen to the bait and made any comment regarding the 'slow pulling off' you mention!

Everyone who gets in my car is forever moaning that I pull off far too slowly...*snigger*... I'm not sure a Suzuki Cappucino would be any improvement then :o\
have a look at

its the enthusiasts web site (SCORE)

top speed is only 85 but 0-60 in 8 secs is good enough for a tiddler
i believe they stopped making them because of the strict US emission regs that the engine could not achieve and it was something of an experiment anyway

I went for an MX5 in the end just because its still current and easier to get spares and accessories (and bigger)

Yeah but it's a deathtrap. You sit so incredibly low; imagine being hit by a BMW X5 in it.

I can't find the euroncap rating but Parkers only give it 1 star for safety.
In one of these things you would be ok -- you would go underneath the BMW X5.
