For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.a small service is when nothing is changed but all checked and topped up ie oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, scooshers and a general look over. but a full service is all of the above and new oil and filters wheels off and clean/adjust brakes new spark plugs. but all vehicels are difrent thats just a general description.
Stevie58 is right. Check your owners handbook, probably in the back pages. There is the basic top-up-and-check service about half yearly or 6000 miles, and the main annual service where filters, plugs, oil etc is changed. There are also items that need replacing/adjusting at longer intervals, probably new cam-belt every 60,000 miles, brake fluid every 2 years, etc. In my 35 years of driving, regular servicing costs money, but you generally have reliable and safer motoring, and I usually get 120 - 180,000 miles out of a car - usually second hand too - and still sell it as runner with MOT!
