We have insurers that will cover the bike on a chassis number - but the official stance is that the client must obtain a registration from the dvla within 14 days otherwise his policy is cancelled. I had heard that it awas possible to reserve a reg with the dvla for this purpose
Now I know what your question is look here, and ask them..................................

thanks for your reply, sadly they were my first port of call but quite frankly their site is a joke. And their telephone service is utterly useless, it`s fine if you want to talk to a computer. I get clients phoning up everyday day about this issue and i`ve never been able to resolve it. If you find out anymore please let me know.
Many thanks
